Focal Scripture: “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17 KJV.
Purpose:
To build loving and caring relationships with senior members as well as friends within the community that we serve. Members will bring to the group any diverse activities to share with each other.
What we do:
We have various speakers come to talk about issues that are pertinent to seniors; such as strokes, fall prevention, fire safety and other topics. We go on outings as a group to plays, movies and various restaurants for birthday celebrations quarterly.
When we meet:
Every second Thursday of the month at Calvary (unless an outing is planned), from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.; we do not meet in January and February.
Who can join:
Any adult age 55 years or older. You do not have to be a member of Calvary Baptist Church to join.
