Focal Scripture: “In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.” 1 Timothy 3:8-10 NIV.
Purpose: Assist the Pastor in worship, serve the congregation through prayer, communion and various other needs.
What we do: Responsible for devotions, prayer, sharing through communication, assisting with Baptism, Communion, Funerals and other activities as directed by the Pastor.
When we meet: As part of the E-5 Family Ministry which consist of Associate Ministers, Deacons and Deaconess, the E-5 Ministry meets monthly at Calvary.
Who can join: This is an appointed position and can only be filled by invitation from the Pastor.
